Anaia Treefoot

Anaia Treefoot is a Dance Movement Therapist and Arts Therapist, based in Auckland. Anaia’s clinical background includes working with children with emotional and behavioural challenges, developmental delays, physical disabilities, Autism, Attention-deficit disorder, and other special needs; gifted children; Paediatric Cancer Patients; Women’s Groups; clients with depression, anxiety and stress; teens with Eating Disorders; adults seeking personal growth and self understanding; and young children and their parents.

Anaia holds a Masters in Clinical Arts Therapy from Whitecliffe College, is an Associate Member of the Dance Therapy Association Australia, and an Associate Member of the American Dance Therapy Association. Anaia completed a year of intensive Postgraduate Dance Movement Therapy Training in New York with Senior Dance Movement Therapist, Dr. Suzi Tortora. Anaia has trained extensively overseas in Authentic Movement, Laban/Bartenieff, Soul MotionTM Dance, Halprin Life/Art Process, Mindfulness Practice and Gestalt Awareness Practice.
